Abstract

For the first time in Cuba a job about epizoic seaweeds in Lobatus gigas shells in the National Park "Jardines de la Reina" is performed. The research was conducted in December 2010 in the chute Peralta. The shells are manually collected using self or apnea diving, algae samples were obtained by the method of direct scraping. List of species of macroalgae attached to mollusk species have been recorded for Cuba is presented in the work, but other substrates. It was listed 47 species, 16 belong to Rhodophyta, 12 Chlorophyta and 18 Heterokontophyta, the best order represented in the three divisions was Ceramiales with (23.4%) of all species collected. It was consigned 20 species for the first time to this park.
