Abstract

The awareness that the human species is endangered extends around the globe, hence constituting a goal the eradication of the imbalance in the relationship of people with the environment. This research aims: development of actions, from the perspective of sustainable development of the town, to strengthen environmental education of residents in the North People's Council - Los Cocos - Confluent Guantanamo. Environmental education and sustainable community development is approached from a sociocultural view, using the methodology from the perspective of community work and Popular Education, the active involvement of all stakeholders in solving existing environmental problems.
