Abstract

With the aim to design livestock farms, to establish livestock sustainable systems  in El Salvador municipality, province of Guantanamo, production efficiency of livestock systems (cattle, sheep and goat) was diagnosed and then farms with livestock areas was designed, since 2005 to 2012. From the areas with livestock uses, 77.43 % was located in areas not suitable for livestock. Production efficiency was correlated with management variables as flock size, yield, environment and slope. Those variables explain 72.90% of accumulated variance of those systems. Validation of farms design is recommended starting from the premises attached in this work.
