Abstract

This study evaluated the use of fresh fishes wastes and their respective ensilages by biologic and quimic methodogies like only one source of animal protein in moist diets for hybrid of clarias (Clarias gariepinus X C. macrocephalus), of 4,53+ 0,05g average weight inicial, These were compared with a commercial foods (20% of fish wastes meal), during 60 days. The results showed that better growth and use of protein were obtained with fresh waste, the ones that differed significantly (P<0.05) to the ensilages and the fish meal, however conversion would feed (dry base) and survival (>85 %), it was similar among the diets. The ensilages and the fish meal did not differ significantly in the indicators evaluated, being an alternative for the production of aquatic foods for countries in the process of development.
