Abstract

The objective is to estimate the behavior of the total lymphocyte count severe patients, the presence of infection was expressed inversely to the number of lymphocytes, the largest number of patients receiving parenteral nutrition alone, had a lymphocyte count less than those receiving only enteral nutrition or mixed nutrition. Patients receiving mixed nutrition shows higher absolute count% of normal levels must consider that these patients receive enteral physiological pathway. The largest number of patients receiving parenteral nutrition alone, had a lower cell count than those who received enteral nutrition or nutrition alone mixed.
