Abstract

A sudy was realized in which they processed 6564 autopsys in consecutive order in the general hospital Docent ´Dr Agostinho Neto´de Guabtanamo during the period of January 1994 till December 2000 to evaluate compartemants Malignant tumor and the quality of the diagnostic of the autopsys . They used the Automatic Regestring System and Pathology Anatomic Control.They found 926 deaths with cancer.The age group most affected was between 65-74 ,with predominance of the male sex.The malignant tumors of major incidence were those of the lungs,prostate and uterine cervix. The Bronconeumony, resulted to be the direcrt cause of death.

When evaluating the quality of the diagnostic, the cancer showed a discrepancy of 11.5% and in the direct cases 35.5%.
