Abstract

With the increase of the analyzes in recent years due to the demand for physicians, has resulted in more frequent and less indication of investigations, in addition to increased costs in the Laboratory. Every day there are many investigations indicated, performed and eventually not accepted by the user, but also not seen by the doctor. Is given the task of reviewing the statistical and cost data to show the expenditure on this activity unnecessarily Department. Finding that the 6.43% of patients did not collect their analysis and research represented 3.86% left in the laboratory during the study period. Non-quality costs were $ 11 563.52 in patients and $ 7 146.95 in investigations left in the department.
