Abstract

The work was developed in the farm of egg-laying commercial Río Frío 2, at the
province of Guantánamo, in order to diagnose the presence of
leucosis and to realize the clinical and anatomical - pathological characterization of this disease in White Leghorn L33 egg-laying fowls. The clinical characterization was carried out by means of observation of the symptoms, while for the anatomical – pathological characterization; samples from the different organs were taken. As a result, it was observed the paleness of the crests as a clinical sign of leucosis, and the anatomical - pathological study showed the presence of tumors and disturbances in the form and color of liver, kidneys, spleen and ovaries, beside the cytological changes caused by this disease. The highest frequency in disturbances presence was found in liver, and the least in ovaries.
