Abstract

The work was carried out in two of the communities more affected by the incidence of polluting focuses of the municipality El Salvador (El Toro and Bayate), in the period understood January-December of 2011; with the objective of determining the main effects of the polluting focuses in the communities in study for the establishment of actions of community intervention. It was carried out a methodological triangulation by means of the implementation of sociological methods and the employment of technical such as the questionnaire and the semi-structured interview. The reached results show that the main factors that affect the quality of the residents' life; they are related directly with such partner-environmental elements as the evacuation of liquid residuals, the treatment and final disposition of solid residuals, the supply and quality of the consumption water as well as the little environmental education that the residents possess what influences in the drop perception of risk that you/they have the same ones.
