Abstract

From 1959, the National System of Health has trafficked for different moments in its evolution, looking for the improvement of a service that has been determined in each stage by the socioeconomic development and scientific-technician of the nation. During five decades of revolution, the Health Public Cuban has reached invaluable achievements that have impacted favorably in the state of health and the population's well-being, in a special way it has been present in this process, the woman, and in this case the woman guantanamera who besides being favored from a beginning by the National System of Health, it has accompanied him during this whole time, contributing its knowledge and dedication for the achievement of such successes.  Up to 1959 the Cuban woman represented 55% from the illiterates domestic, poor incorporation to the work, In the new context, determined by the revolutionary victory, the woman's situation changed particularly favorable form.
