Abstract

In the Semi-arid Region of Guantánamo, they happen climatic cycles without they can be predichos with accuracy, together to the great variability of the precipitations of one year to other, it complicates the problem of using the available water economically every year. The intense and frequent droughts that whip to the territory cause that annually and for the sake of preserving the few volumes of water that they have the preys, take the measure of only  to  supply  the  population's consumption and to suspend the watering to the agricultural cultivations; what has resulted in the increment of the alimentary vulnerability. Before such goods, it was carried out the evaluation of the quality of the residual waters of the farm of breeding of  fish ALEVIGUAN.  The  results demonstrate that these waters possess good quality for their use in the agricultural activities constituting an example of handling of the resource it dilutes in a fragile ecosystem of a semi-arid area.
