Abstract

It’s presented a theme of revision about the automated perimetry, an innovative technology recently introduced in Cuba. The principal characteristics of the automated perimetry are exposed. They make use of the Humphrey Field Analizer (HFA) from Carl Zeiss and the Octopus 101 from Haag Streit, which are worldwide leaders in this technology currently. For the study of glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmologic diseases the advantages and utilities are also stated.
