The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of the hemoparasite *Anaplasma marginalis* in cattle from various locations in the La Troncal canton of Cañar province. Samples were analyzed in the laboratory using the Giemsa staining technique. Variables were statistically analyzed using an analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine statistical significance according to Tukey's test (p < 0.05). Descriptive statistics were used to present the results in graphs, categorizing percentages to characterize the population sample. Of the total cattle sampled (4/7; 57%), *Anaplasma marginalis* was found to be present. The prevalence was found in the Matadero Municipal location (43%) and in Playa Seca (57%). It is concluded that the hemoparasite *Anaplasma marginalis* is present in the sampled animals, with Playa Seca exhibiting the highest parasitic infestation compared to Matadero Municipal.
